Teaching Assistant- Year 4- Cwmbran:
Academics is a specialist education recruitment agency seeking a motivated and reliable Teaching Assistant to support a Year 4 class in a warm, welcoming, and inclusive primary school in Cwmbran, where children feel confident and ready to learn. This is a full-time, temporary role and is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and supporting their learning within Key Stage 2.
The Role Includes:
Supporting Year 4 pupils with classroom activities and learning tasks
Assisting the class teacher with small group work and interventions
Helping pupils stay focused, engaged, and supported throughout the school day
Providing general classroom support as needed
Working Monday to Friday, starting in September 2026 or earlier
Minimum Requirements:
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply
Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
Previous experience working with children, ideally in a school setting
Good understanding of primary education and Key Stage 2 (KS2)
Fluent written and spoken English
A positive, patient, and supportive approach
Ability to work well as part of a team and follow guidance
