We're working with a fantastic secondary school in South Leeds looking for a Maths Teacher who can bring energy, confidence, and a little spark to the classroom. Someone who can make fractions feel less frightening and equations actually make sense.
This is a full-time role starting in September, with no fixed end date. Ideal if you're looking for stability, a supportive team, and a school where staff are genuinely looked after.
And before you ask, yes behaviour is good, the department's organised, and the coffee situation in the staffroom is solid.
The Role
You'll be teaching Maths across KS3 and KS4, helping students build confidence, resilience, and maybe even enjoy a bit of problem-solving along the way.
- Delivering engaging Maths lessons across secondary year groups
- Supporting students of mixed abilities to reach their potential
- Making lessons interactive, clear, and confidence-boosting
- Working with a collaborative and experienced departmentCreating a classroom culture where students feel supported to succeed
What We're Looking For
- Hold UK QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
- Have experience teaching Maths in UK secondary schools
- Can explain tricky concepts without making students' eyes glaze over
- Bring positivity, structure, and strong classroom presence
- Want to be part of a school that values good teaching and good people
ECTs are very welcome too. Your first role should feel exciting, not like solving simultaneous equations without a calculator.
