Year 2 Full Time Class Teacher (September 2026 - December 2026)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 2 Class Teacher to cover a maternity vacancy for one term from September 2026 to December 2026. After this term there is the possibility that the role will continue as a 2 day job share.

The Role
The successful candidate will create a nurturing, engaging and stimulating learning environment where children are supported to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high quality teaching and learning in line with the national curriculum and the ethos of a Catholic school.
- Support the faith life of the school, fostering pupils' spiritual, moral, social and cultural development.
- Plan, prepare and assess lessons effectively to meet the needs of all pupils.
- Create a positive, safe and supportive classroom environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and carers to ensure the best outcomes for children.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school community such as supporting school Masses on Sunday mornings at various dates throughout the year.
About You
- Be a qualified teacher (QTS essential).
- Demonstrate a commitment to the vision and values of Catholic education (being a practising Catholic is desirable but not essential).
- Have experience of teaching at Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2.
- Be passionate about teaching and learning, with high expectations for all pupils.
- Be able to inspire, motivate and support children to achieve their best.
- Be an excellent communicator and a team player.

Salary
Annual £32,916 - £45,352 depending on experience.

We also conduct online searches for all posts in line with guidance from KCSIE 2025.
