Teaching Assistant

Location: Wandsworth, Battersea
Position: Teaching Assistant
Start Date: September
Pay: 1,851- 2,650 per month

An OFSTED 'Good' school in Wandsworth is offering a fantastic opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team and develop valuable skills within the education sector, working within a mainstream classroom and supporting SEN students. The school provides a positive working environment, structured support from staff, and a strong commitment to pupil development and wellbeing.

With a dynamic and inclusive ethos, the school maintains high expectations for every child while recognising the important role staff play in each child's educational journey. The Teaching Assistant's focus is on nurturing confident, independent learners who enjoy learning and thrive within a safe, secure, and stimulating environment where every child is valued as an individual.

Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant:

Working with children aged 2-6 in both indoor and outdoor classes
Supporting child-initiated learning
Helping children with special educational needs
Engaging with students through three different sessions throughout the day
Treating children with respect and kindness as a Teaching Assistant

Job Requirements for a Teaching Assistant:

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
Interest in working with children, specifically those with SEN
Experience working in childcare, either informally or formally
Right to work in the UK

Desirable:

An honours degree (preferably a 2:1 or above) or equivalent
