Professional Doctorate in Clinical Psychology
UEL has been at the forefront of training clinical psychologists for over fifty years. Our well-established professional doctorate programme (DClinPsych) is uniquely characterised by understanding psychological problems in their social and cultural contexts, and facilitating the ability to critically reflect on our activities as professionals. Our programme is expanding and we are looking for Academic Tutors to join our creative, enthusiastic and committed programme team.
About the Job
As an Academic Tutor you will contribute to the planning, management, and delivery of the academic curriculum, that meets the standards of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC):
- providing, developing and organising an innovative syllabus and course teaching: online and face-to-face;
- assessment of coursework, examinations, research, and clinical skills;
- admissions to the course, and our dedication to widening participation and access to the profession;
- supervising and undertaking research and knowledge exchange;
- supporting trainee, team, and your own professional and personal development.
About you
We are looking for tutors with a qualification and substantial experience in clinical or counselling psychology, who are registered to practice with the HCPC. You will have substantial experience of clinical practice, and/or specialist training in an area of practice or research, and a passion for sharing your skills and knowledge with our trainees and colleagues. Previous experience of teaching, assessment, or supervision of post-graduate courses or clinical/counselling psychology trainees is desirable. You will be committed to join a learning community founded on equality of opportunity, critical-constructive thinking, and reflective practice.
