About You
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have experience teaching English at secondary level
- Be confident delivering engaging and challenging lessons
- Be adaptable and creative in your teaching approach
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Be committed to inclusive education and ensuring every student can succeed
- Be passionate about raising attainment and student progress
- Strong mainstream teachers at all stages of their career, including ECTs, are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering high quality, engaging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential for Key Stage 5)
- Creating a positive and structured classroom environment
- Assessing student progress and implementing targeted interventions
- Differentiating lessons to meet a range of learning needs
- Supporting students in achieving strong academic outcomes
- Contributing to curriculum development and departmental planning
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and wider school staff
