Milk Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in North Tyneside to recruit a committed and enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant. This is a full-time role, starting after the February half term, with the potential to continue long term for the right candidate
Teaching Assistant Role:
As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils' learning and progress. Your responsibilities will include:
Delivering targeted interventions in literacy and numeracy
Supporting phonics sessions where required
Working with small groups and on a 1:1 basis
Assisting the class teacher with day-to-day classroom activities
Supporting pupils with varying abilities to help them reach their full potential
The Ideal Candidate:
Has experience working within Key Stage 2 (school-based experience essential)
Is confident showing initiative and adapting support to individual pupil needs
Has a nurturing, patient, and positive approach
Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively with staff and pupils
Holds a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
