Pay: £12.71 per hour (based on experience).

About our Nursery
Occupying a converted manor house, St Nicholas is one of the oldest nurseries in the country, providing nursery education in Hemel Hempstead for over 50 years. Refurbished in recent years, inside you will find four rooms carefully designed with age appropriate resources to aid the learning and development of our children. Outside, we are surrounded by extensive and secure grounds offering all age groups an area for physical activities. The garden includes a mini woodland nature walk and growing area to give children the opportunity to further explore and extend their play. St Nicholas Nursery is situated on Eastwick Row in Hemel Hempstead, just off of the Bennetts End roundabout that joins to the Adeyfield area. There are strong transport links to the M25, M1, the local industrial estate and the A414. There is ample parking for staff.
What Your Role Involves
As a valued member of our team, you'll:
- Create a warm, fun, and nurturing environment where children feel safe and thrive.
- Plan and deliver engaging, play based activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
- Build meaningful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Monitor and celebrate children's development milestones, keeping records to share with parents.
- Support the day to day running of the nursery, maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and care.
- Be a team player, offering guidance to apprentices and volunteers while learning from others.
