Science Teacher, Specialist School Opportunity
Lichfield, Staffordshire • Full-Time • Long-Term • September 2026 Start • KS3 & KS4 • ECTs and Experienced Teachers Welcome
Looking for a teaching role where relationships matter just as much as results?
We're working with a fantastic specialist school in Lichfield supporting children and young people aged 7 to 17 with Learning Difficulties and Dyslexia. They're looking for a full time Science Teacher to join their team from September, right at the beginning of the new school year.
What you'll be doing:
- Teaching Science across KS3 and KS4
- Delivering creative, accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs
- Supporting pupils with Learning Difficulties and Dyslexia to build confidence and independence
- Working closely with a supportive SEN team and experienced leadership staff
- Creating a calm, encouraging classroom where pupils feel safe to learn and ask questions
What the school is looking for:
- UK QTS or relevant teaching qualification
- A patient, adaptable and nurturing approach
- Strong classroom management and relationship building skills
- A genuine passion for inclusive education
- Experience in SEND is helpful, but not essential for the right person
Why this role stands out:
This school understands that no two learners are the same. Staff are given the time, support and resources to teach in a way that works for their pupils, not just tick boxes.
You'll be joining a warm, welcoming team where wellbeing matters, ideas are shared, and every day brings the chance to make a genuine difference.
The school is keen to secure the right teacher ASAP and hopes to appoint before June, so early applications are strongly encouraged.
Benefits
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. The position is temporary, with the option to become permanent at a later date. The school provides safeguarding and Prevent Duty training to all staff, and requires all candidates to have a valid enhanced DBS check.
