We're working with alovely SEN school in Amersham that we've partnered with for several years, and they're now looking for anotherLearning Support Assistant to join their welcoming team.
The school has a trulysupportive and nurturing environment, with staff who provide continuous guidance throughout your placement. It's an excellent setting for anyone looking to gain hands on experience supporting students with additional needs!
All pupils at the school haveEducation, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), and you'll play a key role in helping them reach their academic and personal goals. There's alsopotential to stay on directly with the school after the contract ends in July, depending on how the year goes.
It's afantastic opportunity for graduates interested inteaching, educational psychology, or SEN support to gain practical classroom experience in a genuinely caring school community.
About the Role
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with a range of SEN needs
- Assist teachers and SEN staff in delivering tailored learning activities
- Help create an inclusive and engaging classroom environment
- Support students in developing confidence, independence, and social-emotional skills
- Receive full training and ongoing support throughout your placement
Who We're Looking For
- A degree (2:2 or above) in Psychology, Education, or a related subject - or strong A-levels in English, Maths, or Science
- A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs
- A proactive, caring, and enthusiastic approach to learning support
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Previous experience working with children or in an SEN setting is desirable but not essential
