Forestdale Primary School is an inclusive one-form entry community school, where we work together to create a caring, vibrant environment in which every pupil can thrive. We are seeking to appoint an experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our team.
This is a permanent post commencing September 2026
32.5 hours per week, term time only
Key Responsibilities
- Support teaching across the school
- Support pupils with a range of special educational needs, including EHCP identified needs
- Work with individuals and small groups to deliver targeted learning and intervention programmes
- Assist the Class Teacher in the preparing and adapting learning activities
- Be an integral part of the support team
- Promote positive behaviour and inclusion, support pupil's social and emotional development
- Deliver personal care, where required, in line with school policies
You Will Have
- A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
- Understanding of the standards expected for Teaching Assistants and undertake any training relevant to the position
- Proven experience of working with pupils with SEN in a primary school setting and have good knowledge of a range of SEN
- Experience of working with primary aged children
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupils' wellbeing
