Sir William Perkins's School is looking for an inspirational and enthusiastic Peripatetic Brass Teacher to join our thriving Music Department in September 2026.
This position would suit a teacher who can engage and motivate pupils from beginner to diploma level; a teacher who will challenge and champion their pupils, finding ways for them to learn and grow as individual musicians whilst feeling supported and enjoying the process. The ability to offer a second instrument is required.
Music plays a very significant role in the life of the School and the Department has an excellent reputation in the local area.
The role will involve teaching a brass group as part of our co-curricular offering, and assisting the music teachers with the 'Rare Instrument Scheme' in the first instance, with the capacity to build up student numbers upon demand.
