Your Responsibilities
- Deliver high quality, engaging Criminology lessons to A Level/Level 3 students, fostering a deep understanding of crime, deviance, and the social justice system.
- Provide excellent teaching in a second subject (Humanities or Social Sciences) across Key Stages 3 or 4, ensuring academic momentum throughout the school.
- Design and implement well constructed lessons that utilise current educational research to drive student attainment and intellectual curiosity.
- Leverage 1:1 iPad technology (provided for both staff and Sixth Form students) to create modern, interactive, high tech learning environments.
- Act as a Form Tutor, championing the school's core values-Respect, Resilience, and Positivity-and guiding students toward their future success.
- Participate in bespoke coaching and training programmes, working alongside teachers of Law and Sociology to share best practices and elevate departmental outcomes.
What You'll Bring to the Team
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Criminology, Sociology, Law, or a related Social Science/Humanities discipline.
- The ability and willingness to teach Criminology alongside a second subject across the secondary age range.
- A confident communicator able to build influential relationships with students, staff, and families.
