Job Overview
- This school caters for students aged 11-16.
- Full time, Monday - Friday, Design and Technology ECT role.
- Plan and deliver engaging, practical DT lessons across KS3-KS4.
- Teach a range of DT disciplines (e.g. product design, resistant materials, or graphics).
- Support students in developing creativity, problem solving, and technical skills.
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress to support achievement.
- Work closely with an experienced mentor and supportive department.
- Contribute to a safe and stimulating workshop/classroom environment.
This role is ideal for an ECT looking to complete their induction within a structured and encouraging setting. The school provides strong guidance, reduced timetable support, and opportunities for long term career progression within the department and wider school.
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or pending QTS (ECT).
- A degree in Design and Technology or a related subject.
- A passion for practical, creative teaching and learning.
- Strong classroom management and willingness to develop professionally.
- A positive, proactive, and reflective approach to teaching.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
