Educational Teaching Assistant (Grade 7)
Required to start 1 September 2026
Male Educational Teaching Assistant required to commence September 2021, the requirement for a male is Exempt under Paragraph 1 Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010.
Ravenshall School is seeking to appoint enthusiastic and committed Educational Teaching Assistants to work in our "Exceptional School" (Ofsted, 2024).
Our outstanding special school caters for pupils aged 4 - 19 who have learning difficulties and a wide range of complex needs.
We provide a broad, balanced, personalised and fully engaging curriculum which will enable each child to develop emotionally, socially, physically and intellectually to achieve their full potential through a wide range of learning opportunities. Our pupils are enthusiastic and love coming to school. They expect a lot from the adults that work with them!
The successful candidate will have a passion for Special Educational Needs and a firm understanding of positive behaviour support strategies, understand and commit to the school's values and be able to work within our strong team of support staff. Our staff are required to work in all phases of the school which includes Primary through to our Post 16 provision. As the school is based over two sites, there may be occasions where it is necessary for staff to travel between sites during the working day, if the timetable demands this. Flexibility is an asset!
You will work with pupils of both gender, however, we are looking to appoint a male due to the specific and individual care needs of some of our male students.
Applications are welcome from candidates who have a mainstream background as well as those currently working within a Special Education setting, as we offer high quality in-house support and CPD for successful candidates joining our forward-facing school.
This is an exciting opportunity for a colleague to extend and develop their CPD in new and innovative ways.
