Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Vacancy Salary: £31,022 - £33,699 FTE
Actual Salary: £11,952 - £12,983 (Pay award pending)
Scale: Grade 7
Hours: 16.5 hours (Ideally 5 afternoons but can be negotiated)
Contract Type: Fixed Term contract (Term time only) May become permanent

Set in the delightful village of Colwich, we are a small, Church of England primary school with a warm, friendly atmosphere where children are at the heart of everything we do. We are seeking to appoint a committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our supportive and dedicated team.
About the Role Working under the direction of a qualified teacher, the successful candidate will:
- Support teaching and learning across Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
- Deliver learning activities to small groups and whole classes
- Lead targeted interventions and contribute to planning and preparation of learning activities
- Monitor, assess and feedback on pupil progress, supporting positive outcomes
- Help maintain a calm, purposeful and inclusive learning environment
- Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff as part of a supportive team
The Successful Candidate Will - Have experience working across the primary age range
- Be confident in leading small group work and whole class activities
- Demonstrate high expectations of pupil learning, behaviour and wellbeing
- Be able to evidence the impact of their support on pupils' progress
- Show initiative, flexibility and a willingness to support colleagues when needed
- Be a reflective practitioner who values teamwork and open communication
- Actively contribute to and promote the Christian values and ethos of the school
