About You
- A graduate with a 2:1 degree or above
- Degrees in Education, Psychology, Child Development, English, Maths, or related fields are desirable
- Strong spoken English skills are essential to effectively support pupils, particularly in a school with a high proportion of learners with English as an Additional Language (EAL)
- A positive, proactive, and nurturing approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine passion for education, Early Years development & inclusive practice
- Experience with EYFS and/or SEND (highly desirable)
- Are an aspiring teacher, educational psychologist, or SEN specialist
- Must have the right to work in the UK
The Role
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting both academic progress and pupil wellbeing across a range of age groups; responsibilities will include:
- Supporting pupils with early language development, phonics, literacy, and numeracy
- Working with small groups and delivering 1:1 interventions
- Supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
- Assisting within Early Years settings, helping to deliver play based and structured learning
- Supporting pupils with social, emotional, and communication needs
- Helping to maintain a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
