What you will bring to the role
- Experience working with children or young people with ALN/SEN (in education, care, or community settings). If you have transferable skills from a care back round please also get in touch
- Knowledge of strategies for supporting learners with a range of needs, such as autism, speech and language difficulties, or social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
- Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for inclusive education.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals.
What you will do
- Deliver engaging, differentiated learning experiences tailored to individual needs and targets.
- Use creative strategies, assistive technology, and sensory resources to support communication, emotional regulation, and independence.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team - including therapists, support staff, and families - to ensure holistic support for each learner.
- Track and celebrate progress using both academic and personal development milestones.
- Contribute to a positive, nurturing school culture where every child feels safe, valued, and understood.
