The RoleWe're looking for a driven Business Development professional to take our apprenticeship offer to market, build employer partnerships, and generate consistent learner starts.
This is not a passive sales role - you'll own the pipeline, shape employer relationships, and position Blue Lion as the go-to provider for high-quality apprenticeships.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and win new employer partnerships across the UKPromote apprenticeship programmes (L3-L6) aligned to employer needsGenerate leads through outreach, networking, and eventsConvert opportunities into signed apprenticeship agreementsWork closely with delivery teams to align recruitment with capacityRepresent Blue Lion in a professional, credible, and consultative mannerMaintain a strong presence in the Derby office as part of the core team
What We're Looking ForProven experience in business development, sales, or employer engagementExperience in apprenticeships, training, or education (highly desirable)Strong communication and relationship-building skillsSelf-starter mindset - someone who takes ownership and drives resultsAbility to understand employer needs and position solutions effectively
