We are working with a College in Uxbridge to recruit a passionate Lecturer in Sociology to join their high-performing Sixth Form team.
This is an exciting opportunity to teach a popular and successful subject area, delivering engaging lessons across A Level Sociology to students aged 16-19. The college has a strong reputation for student outcomes and progression, with consistently high performance in A Level results.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching across A Level Sociology programmes
- Plan and prepare engaging lessons that inspire learners
- Monitor student progress and provide academic support
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement
- Participate in enrolment, open days, and student support activities
- Maintain accurate records of attendance and achievement
✅ About You
- Degree in Sociology or a related subject
- Experience teaching up to Level 3 / A Level
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage 16-19 learners
- Passion for education and student success
- Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one - fully supported by the college)
