We are recruiting for a PTHP Internal Quality Assurer to join our thriving Apprenticeships department.
As the IQA you will ensure that training, assessment processes, and learner evidence meet the required standards for the course. This will be done through reviewing learner work and assessor decisions to ensure they meet standards and will include the observation of assessors to ensure best practice and to provide feedback and support improvement.
The main purpose of this role will be to sign off the portfolios of a group of healthcare learners.
Please note that this is a part-time, hourly paid, casual vacancy
Responsibilities include:
Reviewing learner work and assessor decisions to ensure they meet standards.
Conducting direct observations of assessment practices to provide feedback and support improvement
Leading meetings to ensure all assessors interpret standards consistently.
Ensuring the organisation meets all requirements from awarding organisations and preparing for external quality assurance visits.
Providing guidance to trainers/assessors to maintain high quality.
Complete all assessment paperwork as required by the organisation and the awarding/professional bodies and other external agencies to a high standard.

Education & Training
GCSE 4 – 9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in Maths, or be prepared to pass a test before the interview to demonstrate level 2 ability, and then, if appointed, achieve within an agreed timescale

Assessor Award or working towards
Experience
Current knowledge and relevant occupational experience in the assessment area – Health & Social Care
Proven experience of accurately and timely assessing in the workplace/classroom
Experience of working within a customer focused environment
