Job Purpose
To support the delivery of high-quality training in both classroom settings and within the community, alongside carrying out onsite competency assessments. The role ensures care staff have the skills, knowledge, and confidence to provide safe, effective, and person-centred care. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on care experience who is passionate about developing others and improving care quality.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist in delivering classroom-based training, including induction and Care Certificate standards
· Support the planning and preparation of engaging training sessions, materials, and resources
· Co-facilitate and, as skills develop, independently deliver classroom training sessions
· Conduct community-based onsite observations and competency assessments with care staff in service users’ homes
· Monitor and support the quality of care delivery in the community, providing constructive feedback
· Identify areas for improvement and support staff development in real-life care settings
· Maintain accurate training records, competency assessments, and attendance logs
· Support with e-learning systems and staff compliance tracking
· Ensure all training and assessments align with current legislation, CQC standards, and best practice
· Stay up to date with changes in health and social care guidance

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
· Confident delivering training in a classroom environment and supporting staff in the community
· Ability to observe practice and provide clear, constructive feedback
· Strong organisational and time management skills
· Ability to motivate, support, and develop others
· Strong attention to detail, particularly around quality and compliance
· Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office, email systems, e-learning platforms)
Essential Requirements
· Previous experience working in a care role, ideally within community care
· Good understanding of high-quality, person-centred care in both theory and practice
· Passion for training, coaching, and developing others
· Ability and willingness to travel for community-based assessments
· Full UK driving licence
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £14.76 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 16 per week
