L3 Digital Lecturer🚨
I am representing a college in Leeds that are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Digital Lecturer to deliver BTEC Level 3 programmes in Computing and Data Science to Further Education learners (aged 16-18 learners).
You will play a key role in inspiring students and developing their skills in programming, IT systems, and data analysis, preparing them for higher education or careers in the digital sector.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality teaching across Level 3 BTEC Computing and Data Science
Plan and deliver engaging lessons in:
Programming (e.g. Python, C#, or similar)
IT systems and networking
Data analysis and data science fundamentals
Assess student work in line with BTEC assessment criteria
Provide timely and constructive feedback to support learner progress
Track and monitor student performance, attendance, and engagement
Support students with academic and pastoral needs
Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement
Maintain accurate records in line with awarding body and college requirements
Participate in team meetings, standardisation, and quality assurance processes
Essential Requirements
Degree (or equivalent) in Computing, Data Science, IT, or a related field
Strong knowledge of:
Programming (e.g. Python, Java, or C#)
IT systems and/or networking
Data handling and analysis
Experience teaching or training in a relevant subject area
(or strong industry experience with a willingness to teach)
Understanding of BTEC Level 3 qualifications or similar frameworks
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
Desirable
Teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, CertEd, or DET)
Experience delivering BTEC Computing or Data Science
Industry experience in software development, IT, or data-related roles
Knowledge of tools such as:
SQL, Excel, Power BI, or similar
Version control (e.g. Git)
Experience working with 16-19 learners in an FE settingImportant Notice
