🏫 About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Lecturer to join a college in Romford on a temporary basis. You will support learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN), delivering engaging and inclusive lessons that cater to a range of learning abilities and needs.

🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive lessons tailored to SEN learners
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress against individual learning goals
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs, including EHCP requirements
- Support students' personal development, communication, and life skills
- Create a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment
- Work closely with support staff, therapists, and external professionals
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to review meetings
👤 About You
- Experience working with learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent) - desirable
- Experience in a college or FE setting
- Strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices and SEN support strategies
- Excellent communication, patience, and classroom management skills
- Passionate about supporting learners with additional needs
Desirable:
- Experience working with EHCPs
- Knowledge of a range of learning difficulties and disabilities (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH)
- Experience delivering functional skills or life skills programmes
- Familiarity with the UK FE curriculum and SEN frameworks
