The Senior Lecturer position must be able to contribute to both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching as a Senior Lecturer, including the technical and theoretical contexts which define their areas of expertise, and as Professional Studies Advisor, and - acting as Academic Course Leader (ACL) - will have the opportunity to develop and lead a new Professional Experience "Year Out" course. It is essential that the appointee is handsâ€'on and able to undertake practical design teaching in studio.

We are seeking enthusiastic and skilled academic / industry practitioners who can contribute to the teaching and learning on the MA & BA degrees in Architecture, as well as offering possible course leadership, here at the University of Gloucestershire. The successful applicants will contribute to both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and specifically to the technical and theoretical contexts within their areas of expertise. Industry experience is highly valued by both the course team and the school and will directly support the learning of our current cohorts. The appointee will therefore have extensive and current experience of working as an Architect or as a senior lecturer / lecturer in Higher Education. Knowledge of employability, industry awareness, contemporary industry practices and current teaching pedagogy in architecture are central to the roles., The Lecturer position must be able to contribute to both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, including the technical and theoretical contexts which define their areas of expertise.
