Purpose
We are looking to recruit Level 6, or working towards Level 6, career adviser to support schools delivery with potential assignments in North & East London. The position will be term time only and part-time. The primary duty will be 1-1 careers advice and guidance but the emphasis on duties may vary dependant on the service level agreement agreed with the school.
The salary range for a qualified Job Coach: £29,424 - £35,554 FTE
The salary range for an unqualified Job Coach: £26,156 - £31,618 FTE
Main Duties:
Supporting the school in delivering a robust careers offer across year groups, ensuring that the school is working towards the Gatsby BenchmarksProviding 1-1 careers information, advice and guidance to studentsProducing careers action plans and record information in line with school requirementsOrganising and delivering small and large group sessions/activities on a range of topics for example:option choice at each key transition stageCV and job application workshopscareer choicelabour market informationpost 16 & 18 optionsEstablishing and maintaining effective working relationships with schools staff and other professionals supporting the schools careers offerMaking use of ICT in undertaking the duties of the role and as required in the course of your employmentAttending parent’s evenings to provide Careers IAG to young people and support their parents/ carersUpdate Service Manager (Prospects) on a monthly basis the days delivered, flagging up any issues with delivery in a timely mannerComplete a termly progress review template at the end of the Autumn Term, highlighting days delivered, activities, issues etc. To be submitted to Service Manager (Prospects).To be pro-active in looking for opportunities to upsell the service and potentially increase revenue.To provide students, accessing our service, the opportunity to complete the online evaluation survey. Analysis of this data will be feedback to the school on a termly basis in addition to yourself.Actively promote equality and diversity, recognising and actively challenging stereotyping, prejudice and discrimination ensuring that these principles permeate all working practices.Undertake appropriate self-assessment and training to enhance and develop the Careers Adviser role.Any other duties appropriate to the level of the post
