About the roleDo you have a flair for helping people, and a desire to work at the heart of the local community? We are looking for an enthusiastic and versatile person to join our friendly and hard-working team driving one of our Mobile Libraries.
The position involves driving predetermined routes in mostly rural villages across Cambridge and South Cambridgeshire, including visits to schools, sheltered and residential accommodation and regular village/town locations.
This post operates from a base in Orchard Park Cambridge for 18.5 hours per week, 10 days per month.
You may occasionally be asked to cover other roles within Cambridgeshire libraries.
Some evening and weekend working will be required to for promotional events where you will represent the Library Service, the County Council and partner organisations. Flexibility is essential to help meet the needs of the service.
