Role Description
Tala Training Limited is seeking an experienced Trainer / Assessor with a strong background in vocational assessment within the construction sector.
This role will be primarily focused on assessing learner competence in the workplace, ensuring candidates meet the standards required for nationally recognised qualifications. The successful candidate will manage a caseload of learners, carry out assessments on-site, and provide guidance to support successful completion of qualifications.
The position will be based out of our head office in Glasgow, with travel to employer sites where necessary.
Qualifications
Essential
• Recognised Assessor Qualification (A1, D32/D33, L&D9DI or equivalent)
• Extensive experience in the construction industry
• Experience assessing or supporting competence-based vocational qualifications
• Ability to manage and support a caseload of learners
• Excellent communication, organisation, and learner support skills
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to employer sites
Desirable
• Teaching or training qualification (AET / PTLLS / equivalent)
• Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) qualification
• Experience working with SCQF vocational frameworks
• Experience assessing higher-level qualifications (SCQF Levels 7–10)
