Construction Assessors – FE Colleges (Slough)

Location: Slough
Salary: Competitive rates – dependent on experience
Contract: Full-time / Part-time / Temporary & Permanent Opportunities

TeacherActive are working closely with FE colleges and training providers across Slough to recruit Construction Assessors to support apprenticeships and vocational learning programmes.

This role is ideal for experienced construction professionals who enjoy mentoring, assessing, and supporting learners in the workplace.

We are recruiting assessors in:

Brickwork
Carpentry & Joinery
Plumbing
Electrical Installation
Painting & Decorating
Plastering
Multi-skills / Construction

The Role:
- Assess learners in the workplace and training environments
- Carry out observations, reviews, and progress tracking
- Support apprentices through their qualifications
- Ensure standards and awarding body requirements are met
- Maintain accurate learner records and documentation
  
  The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  - Strong occupational competence in a construction trade
  - Assessor qualification (TAQA, A1, D32/33) – or willingness to work towards one
  - Experience supporting apprentices or learners
  - Excellent communication, organisation, and time-management skills
