As a growing organisation with a positive, proactive team culture, our client is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Water Trainer to join their Education Team and help shape the next generation of utilities professionals.
The Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a knowledgeable utilities professional ready to step into — or further develop — a training career as a Water Trainer .
You’ll design and deliver high-quality training programmes that meet industry and awarding body standards, supporting learners across a range of environments:
• In-house training facility, Client sites and Remote/virtual classrooms
We’re particularly interested in candidates with experience in:
• Water Distribution Networks, Leakage, Water Treatment, Utilities Mains Laying & Repairs
Key Responsibilities:
• As the Water Trainer - Deliver engaging, high-standard training sessions across multiple subjects
• Assess learner performance and provide constructive, developmental feedback
• Develop and adapt training materials to meet client and awarding body requirements
• Support programme development and continuous quality improvement
• Monitor learner progress and provide additional support where required
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry developments and training best practice
• Work in accordance with company policies and the Business Management System (BMS)
What Our Client Is Looking For:
Essential
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in the utilities industry
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Excellent organisation and time management
• Confident using MS Office, Teams and Zoom
• Self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently
Desirable (or willing to work towards):
• Experience in a training/instructional role
• Level 3 or 4 qualification in Training & Development (e.g. PTTLS / CTTLS)
• Assessor qualification (TAQA / CAVA)
• IOSH Technical Membership (or above)
• EUSR accreditation
