About Role
As an Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) – Property Maintenance, you will play a critical role in maintaining and improving the quality of assessment and delivery across property maintenance programmes. Your responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring and supporting assessors to ensure consistent, high-quality assessment practice
- Conducting standardisation activities and sampling assessments in line with awarding body and regulatory requirements
- Providing constructive feedback, coaching, and development support to assessment staff
- Ensuring compliance with internal quality assurance processes, policies, and procedures
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and contributing to audit and inspection readiness
- Working collaboratively with delivery teams to uphold best practice and learner outcomes
Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will have:
- Occupational competency and strong industry experience in property maintenance or a related construction trade
- A recognised IQA qualification (e.g. TAQA, IQA unit, or equivalent)
- Experience quality assuring vocational qualifications or apprenticeships
- A thorough understanding of awarding body and regulatory requirements
- Strong communication, organisational, and coaching skills
- A proactive, detail-oriented approach with a passion for quality and development
