Lecturer in Hospitality Permanent, Part time – 14 hours per week £41,838 - £50,359 per annum (pro rata) (Candidates holding TQFE will commence at £48,227 per annum)
As a Lecturer you will provide professional expertise and be required to teach subjects in courses delivered by the Faculty of Hospitality & Leisure within the curriculum of Hospitality in the specialist area of wines, spirits, gastronomy, food and beverage service, customer care and other related hospitality subjects. Our courses cover the wide spectrum SCQF Level 4 – SCQF Level 9 for courses delivered in partnership with Edinburgh Napier University. As a professional member of the college teaching staff, you will be responsible for the preparation of lessons and teaching materials; the teaching of students the marking and assessment of their work and any associated admin/marketing to promote courses.
You should be able to demonstrate significant, relevant experience working with wines and spirit and more generally delivering and/or managing a team offering high end food and beverage service techniques.
You should possess a relevant degree with additional work based certification, excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to support learners who require a variety of learning styles alongside a passion for education and skills development. Previous training / teaching experience would be advantageous.
