As a Senior Lecturer, you will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging undergraduate and postgraduate courses in AI, machine learning, deep learning, and related areas. Your research activities should focus on advancing the frontiers of AI, with a commitment to publishing in high-impact journals and presenting at international conferences. You will supervise student research projects, foster a vibrant research environment, and potentially contribute to grant applications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong pedagogical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for fostering student learning and critical thinking. Key responsibilities will include:
Designing, developing, and delivering high-quality courses in Artificial Intelligence and related subjects. Conducting original research in AI and publishing findings in leading academic venues. Supervising undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects and dissertations. Contributing to curriculum development and enhancement within the Computer Science department. Engaging in academic administration, including module leadership and committee work. Seeking external research funding and collaborating on grant proposals. Mentoring students and providing academic guidance and support. Collaborating with interdisciplinary research teams and external partners. Contributing to the broader academic community through seminars and workshops.
We are looking for candidates with a PhD in Computer Science or a closely related field, with a strong publication record in AI research. Proven experience in teaching at the university level, including curriculum development and student supervision, is essential. Expertise in areas such as natural language processing, computer vision, reinforcement learning, or ethical AI is highly desirable. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a passion for teaching and research, and the ability to work effectively in a remote academic environment are required.
