Vacancy for Level 2 Teaching Assistant (SEN Support)
Salary: Meridian Trust Grade 5, Point 5-7 - Fixed Term until 31st August 2026.
Hours: 32.5 p/week
We have an exciting vacancy for a passionate and creative Teaching Assistant - SEN Support, who thrives on helping students realise their potential at North Cambridge Academy. This is an opportunity to make a real difference to the learning and progress of our pupils - you will work closely with our SENDCo, class teachers and the teaching assistants team to provide our children with the best possible educational opportunities. Under the direction of the SENDCO, you will be supporting children with SEND needs both inside and outside of the classroom environment.

The ideal candidate
- Holds a good educational background with GCSE or equivalent in English Language.
- Understands how children learn.
- Is skilled at developing children’s self-esteem and motivation so that they become resilient, independent learners.
- Has excellent communication skills and is able to develop and sustain positive relationships with pupils.
