Remuneration: $127,000 - $178,000 base salary, pro‑rata plus 17% super and leave loading.

Overview
This newly created position will contribute to the delivery of high‑quality, integrated clinical skills teaching at UNSW on pharmacy courses, including the current Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Medicine / Master of Pharmacy program and potential future initiatives focusing on the extended scope of practice of pharmacists including prescribing. The role is part of a multidisciplinary Clinical Skills and Simulation team within the Faculty of Medicine and Health.
Responsibilities
Develop and deliver clinical skills and simulation‑based teaching and assessment for pharmacy students.
Model best practice clinical technique and foster student engagement.
Ensure educational activities are aligned with program requirements and clinical safety standards.
Collaborate with academic and professional staff in designing and delivering clinical education, supporting student learning in a safe, inclusive environment.
Qualifications
Key skills and experience required.
Qualification in a relevant health discipline and maintenance of currency in registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Evidence and maintenance of professional development in pedagogy, disciplinary knowledge, and professional accreditation.
Demonstrated excellence in patient communication and bedside clinical skills, and recent clinical experience in gathering and utilising patient information to support differential diagnosis.
Demonstrated experience in teaching clinical skills including physical assessment skills, differential diagnosis, clinical reasoning, management planning, prescribing and communication.
Demonstrated experience in teaching therapeutics.
Ability to work collaboratively with academic and professional staff in the design and delivery of clinical education and commitment to student learning in a safe, inclusive environment.
Level C (in addition to the above) :
Significant experience in teaching and learning design for clinical skills using a range of pedagogical approaches, development and delivery of courses (subjects) and programs, at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
Evidence of professional development in teaching and a strong track record of teaching excellence, including fostering this in others, and the ability to advance and lead an inclusive culture of excellence in learning and teaching.
Demonstrated success in initiating curriculum development and improvement.
Demonstrated ability in the leadership of education‑focused research initiatives.
