Digital Learning Designer: £27,000 - £32,000 per annum

Mantra has supported the skills needs of the logistics sector for over 54 years and is an Ofsted rated grade 2 independent training provider. The Manchester site is well established as the largest specialist logistics training facility in the UK.
Our organisation provides training for people at all levels, from supporting individuals to gain work to developing senior managers, mainly through our two key brands of The Job Gym and The National Logistics Academy and utilising several different types of government funding that we have successfully secured. We also strive to improve learners’ life prospects by offering programmes such as mental health and wellbeing, digital skills, English and Maths, thousands of learners each year to gain new skills by providing progression opportunities.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Learning Designer to join our team based in Middleton, Greater Manchester. The role is primarily a remote role. However, you will be expected to occasionally come onsite.
The Role
The Digital Learning Designer will provide specialised expertise and support in the design and development of digital learning experiences. This will be achieved by creating engaging, interactive, and effective e-learning content.
Key areas of focus
- Multimedia Development: Utilising a range of tools and software to create interactive and visually appealing content, including graphics, animations, videos, simulations, and interactive assessments.
- Technology Integration: Leveraging learning management systems, authoring tools, and other software to develop and deliver e-learning content. Keeping up to date with the latest technological advancements in the e-learning industry to incorporate innovative features and functionalities into the learning experiences created.
- User Experience Design: Prioritising user experience to create intuitive and user-friendly e-learning interfaces. Designing navigation systems, user interfaces, and interactive elements to ensure seamless and engaging learner interactions. Conducting user testing and feedback gathering to continuously improve the user experience and enhance learner engagement.
Skills/Knowledge/Behaviours/Qualifications/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in instructional design principles and e-learning content development tools.
- Strong knowledge of blended learning best practices.
- Experience with learning management systems and virtual learning environments.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Experience in developing online learning resources, including interactive software, video, multimedia.
- Experience/ability in researching and introducing innovative digital tools to embed in learning.
- Exceptional IT developer skills.
- Very high attention to detail and high standard of accuracy.
- Project management experience (desirable).
The package
- This position is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours a week based at our Middleton facility.
- £27,000 to £32,000 per annum dependant on experience and qualifications.
