Role Overview
South Staffordshire College is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our employability team in a new role focused on adult skills development. As an Adult Skills trainer you will be collaborate closely with stakeholders and local communities to identify skills gaps and deliver programs that upskill, retrain, and support individuals in achieving career progression and employment opportunities. Your role will require you supporting the Adult Skills Lead in implementing new programmes, responding to employer needs, and ensuring consistency and innovation across the employability offer.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with stakeholders and local community to identify skills gaps
- Respond to skills gaps with development of appropriate programmes to upskill through various funding streams and government initiatives (i.e Sector based work academies/skills bootcamps)
- Deliver high quality and engaging training sessions
- Develop links and partnerships with a range of employers and stakeholders to seek opportunities for future employment of our learners
- Work with marketing, curriculum managers and our employer engagement team to promote, deliver and develop our adult skills offer
Requirements
- Passion for adult education and skills development.
- Experience with in delivery of skills development and employability based programmes
- Teaching qualification not mandatory but desirable.
