Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and compassionate individuals to join our team as Student Support Coordinators. This role offers a valuable opportunity to contribute to the educational development and well-being of students, providing mentorship and assistance in a supportive environment. The position is ideal for those interested in gaining experience in education, teaching, performing arts or community engagement, and is open to candidates who are eager to make a positive impact.
This role is unpaid, recognising the importance of this contribution to our organisation.
Responsibilities
- Provide academic support and encouragement to performing arts service users/students
- Assist Core Production Team in preparing learning materials and resources
- Support students in sessions
- Prepare and revise Awareness Sheets
- Interview students on individual needs
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes student confidence and motivation
- Participate in organising educational activities, workshops, or events
- Offer one-on-one or group mentoring sessions as required
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold the organisation’s safeguarding policies
Skills
- Experience or interest in teaching or tutoring is useful
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with students of diverse backgrounds
- Organised, reliable, and able to manage time efficiently
- Compassionate with a genuine interest in supporting student development
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of students and programmes
