The Loddon School and Loddon Training are based in Basingstoke and we are currently seeking a Specialist Trainer to support both sites, working as part of a multi-skilled team.
The role will contribute to the organisation, delivery, and administration of PROACT-SCIPr-UK training provided by The Loddon Training as well as associated training courses delivered by the School.
You must have excellent communication skills and be able to demonstrate a creative approach to training delivery. You should have good time management; strong administration skills related to the training process and be prepared to travel/stay away from home overnight to support organisations accessing our training/services.
You will need to have a professional or vocational qualification for working within Health and Social Care e.g. a Diploma in Social Work, a Health Professional or relevant degree and ideally a teaching qualification e.g. EAT Level 3. You must have experience in the practice of positive behaviour support, behaviour analysis and the use of effective communication whilst supporting individuals with autism, severe learning disabilities and/or mental health conditions who may exhibit behaviours of concern.
Your main duties will be to deliver PROACT-SCIPr-UK courses in accordance with systems and guidelines as outlined by the Restraint Reduction Network Standards (RRN), the PROACT-SCIPr-UKtrademark licensing agreement and any additional specific course requirements as appropriate. You will support PROACT-SCIPr-UK Principal Instructors and Instructors with the provision of additional training, advice and support both internally within the School and to other PROACT-SCIPr-UKorganisations. In addition, you will support the delivery of training across The Loddon Foundation.
When not delivering training you will be required to maintain your personal CPD file through the development of your practice, skills and knowledge, and ensuring that you are able to work within current legislation and codes of practice. This will include retaining professional registration and the maintenance of your certification with BILD Association for Certificated Training (ACT) and other professional bodies within the teaching and learning sector.
