About
The RoleReporting into the Senior Manager for Operational competency, the successful Training Manager - Apprenticeships will play a vital part in delivering the Professional Operator Development Programme (PODP), specifically supporting the Mineral Processing Apprenticeship Standards. You will ensure apprentices receive consistent, high‑quality support throughout their learning journey with a particular focus on pastoral care. The role is a fixed‑term contract expected to last around 12 months.
What
You’ll Be Doing
- Apprentice Support & Progress Monitoring – lead and coordinate regular progress reviews for all learners, monitor the quality of those reviews to ensure impact and provide tailored support for apprentices with additional learning needs.
- Communication & Coordination – facilitate consistent communication to ensure alignment across all product lines and business units, support the planning and scheduling of training activities and act as a central point of contact between delivery teams, including trainers, assessors, operational managers and HR.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance – contribute to the programme’s Quality Improvement Plan and Self‑Assessment Review, provide quality assurance checks on compliance documents and ensure learner portfolios are maintained and completed at gateway.
- Safeguarding & Inclusion – promote and uphold safeguarding standards in line with Ofsted requirements, ensure all staff involved in delivery have appropriate DBS checks and technical competence and be responsible for the provision of pastoral care for apprentices.
