About The Role and Person:
Lecturer in Functional Skills (Maths/English) at Capel Manor College. The role involves supporting apprentices studying for their Maths and English functional skills qualifications, preparing and delivering stimulating lessons, setting goals that stretch and challenge all students, monitoring and assessing student progress, giving feedback and ensuring that apprentices are ready to take their functional skills assessments.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver stimulating Maths and English functional skills lessons.
- Set goals that stretch and challenge all students.
- Monitor and assess student progress and provide feedback.
- Ensure apprentices are ready to take their functional skills assessments.
- Deliver lessons remotely when required; some face-to-face delivery at Enfield, Regents Park and Gunnersbury Park campuses.
Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant teaching qualification.
- Experience of teaching functional skills Maths and/or English.
- Enthusiastic, adaptable and driven to provide excellent teaching.
- Experience working with learners of all abilities and excellent communication skills.
- Experience providing effective online learning is essential.
