Responsibilities include:
Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and deliver engaging and high-quality curriculum in educational technology, leveraging digital tools and pedagogical best practices. Conduct independent and collaborative research in areas relevant to educational technology, aiming for publication in high-impact journals and conference presentations. Supervise postgraduate students, including Master's and PhD candidates, providing mentorship and guidance throughout their research journey. Contribute to the academic administration of the department, including course coordination, quality assurance, and committee work. Foster strong links with industry partners and professional bodies to ensure the curriculum remains relevant and responsive to evolving technological and societal needs. Embrace and promote a remote-first work culture, actively participating in virtual team meetings and contributing to the online academic community. Mentor junior faculty and contribute to the professional development of teaching staff in digital pedagogy. Explore and integrate emerging technologies such as AI, VR, and AR into learning and teaching environments.
Qualifications and Experience: A PhD in Educational Technology, Computer Science, Education, or a closely related field. A strong track record of research, evidenced by peer-reviewed publications and successful grant applications. Demonstrable experience in curriculum design and delivery at the higher education level, preferably in a blended or online environment. Proficiency in a range of educational technologies and learning management systems. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse student and staff populations. A proactive and self-motivated approach to work, with excellent time management and organizational skills suitable for a remote role.
