Responsibilities:
Develop, deliver, and assess undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Educational Technology, entirely online. Design engaging and interactive learning materials, including multimedia content, virtual labs, and online simulations. Conduct research in Educational Technology, contributing to the academic reputation of the institution. Supervise student research projects, dissertations, and theses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Contribute to curriculum development and review processes, ensuring alignment with current industry trends and academic standards. Provide academic advising and support to students throughout their learning journey. Engage in scholarly activities, including publishing research in peer-reviewed journals and presenting at academic conferences. Collaborate with the wider faculty and administrative teams to enhance the online learning experience. Stay current with emerging technologies and their applications in education, such as AI in education, VR/AR, and learning analytics. Contribute to institutional initiatives aimed at improving teaching quality and student success in online environments.
Qualifications:
A PhD in Education, Educational Technology, or a closely related field. A strong track record of teaching experience at the higher education level, preferably in an online or blended learning environment. Demonstrable research experience in Educational Technology, evidenced by publications and presentations. Expertise in designing and developing digital learning resources and assessment strategies. Familiarity with various Learning Management Systems (LMS) and educational technologies. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, adapted for a virtual setting. Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a remote team structure. A commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable learning environment for diverse student populations. Experience in curriculum design and program leadership is highly desirable. Eligibility to work in the UK is required.
