This position requires exceptional analytical and communication skills. You must be able to articulate complex strategies clearly and concisely to players of varying experience levels. Building rapport and trust with players is paramount, as is the ability to motivate and inspire them during high-pressure situations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in coaching or high-level competitive play within recognized esports titles. You should be comfortable using specialized coaching software and tools for performance analysis and replay review. A flexible approach to working hours is necessary, as esports matches and training sessions often occur during evenings and weekends.
Key responsibilities will include:
Developing and implementing comprehensive training programs for esports teams. Analyzing team and individual player performance, identifying areas for improvement. Creating and refining game-specific strategies and tactics. Conducting regular VOD reviews and providing constructive feedback. Scouting opponents and developing effective counter-strategies. Mentoring players to improve their decision-making, mechanics, and teamwork. Fostering a positive team culture and promoting sportsmanship. Staying abreast of meta changes and new game developments. Collaborating with team managers and other coaching staff. Maintaining detailed records of team progress and performance.
Requirements include a strong understanding of multiple popular esports titles, significant competitive experience (high rank or professional play), and demonstrated coaching or leadership experience.
