We are currently recruiting a Assessor Trainer in Hair dressing for Hertford Regional College (HRC) to support the successful enrolment, delivery, training, and achievements, via the application of effective teaching, learning and assessment practices for all apprentices on your caseload. To ensure all apprentices achieve timely and overall outcomes on Apprenticeship standards within identified subject areas / specialisms.

About the Role
In this role, you will act as a central point of contact for employers, strengthening communication and providing consistent support on matters such as apprentice attendance, punctuality, and progress. You will also assist with external relations, including liaising with awarding bodies and end-point assessment organisations to ensure smooth and compliant processes. A key part of the role involves supporting the development of marketing materials and promotional information to attract prospective apprentices and employers to the Hairdressing Apprenticeship programme. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire apprentice journey, from enrolment to timely completion, ensuring all components of the programme are delivered effectively. Working closely with the wider apprenticeship team, you will help ensure apprentices are enrolled efficiently onto the correct standards. Additionally, you will ensure that all enrolment documentation, skills scans, and Off-the-Job training calculations are accurately completed and align with current government guidance.
About You
You will hold GCSEs in English and Maths at grade C/4 or above, or an equivalent Level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy. Ideally, you will be qualified to NVQ Level 3 or above in Hairdressing (or the relevant subject area), or be willing to achieve this within the probationary period. You will also hold or be prepared to work towards the Assessor Award (TAQA), a Health and Safety qualification, and a recognised teacher training qualification. An Internal Verifier Award (TAQA) is desirable, or a willingness to undertake the necessary training. Importantly, you will bring relevant occupational experience in the subject specialism, enabling you to provide high-quality support and guidance to apprentices.
