Hourly Paid Lecturer in ESOL/Digital Skills/Employability/Numeracy
£22.36 Per Hour plus £5.33 Per Hour Holiday Pay
Variable Hours Fixed Term Contract until 17 July 2026
The Role:
As a part-time hourly paid lecturer in the school of Adult Education, you will deliver high-quality, engaging learning to adult learners and/or 16-18 ESOL learners studying English, Employability, Digital Skills or Numeracy up to Level 2. You will plan and teach clearly structured lessons in your chosen subject, adapting to learners’ diverse needs. Teaching may take place in college and at community venues across the year. You will support course promotion and maintain the highest professional standards in teaching and learner support.
What we are looking for:
You should have GCSE grade 4 or above in English and Maths (or UK equivalent) and a recognised level 5 teaching qualification or willingness to work towards. You should also have Level 4/5 subject specialist qualification in ESOL or ICT or Numeracy or Employability (please confirm which subject you have on your application), or a willingness to work towards. It is essential that you are able to demonstrate in your application your knowledge of current developments in your subject area.
