NOCN Group is looking for experienced Freelance End Point Assessors with a strong background in Craft Carpentry and Joinery to conduct End Point Assessments for the Craft Carpentry and Joinery Apprenticeship Standard. This role offers flexibility as a freelance position, but on-site attendance is required.
Location: Travel required to various sites across the North West and North East regions.

Purpose and Objectives:
- Conduct End Point Assessments independently while adhering to NOCN's quality assurance standards.
- Carry out assessments according to the defined assessment instruments outlined in the End Point Assessment plan.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Evaluate apprentices based on their Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours during the Multiple Choice Test, Practical Assessment, and Interview (supported by a Portfolio of Evidence), following the End Point Assessment plan.
- Timely upload assessment reports, adhering to NOCN's service level agreements.
- Prepare thoroughly for assessments and identify any gaps in the apprentices' KSBs.
- Establish a good rapport with apprentices to help them perform at their best during assessments.
- Maintain current hands-on Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in the subject area.
- Represent NOCN professionally throughout the assessment process.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR practices, securing all data appropriately.
- Moderate the work of other assessors in line with internal quality assurance procedures.
Key Requirements:
- Possess recent, relevant experience in the Craft Carpentry and Joinery sector, to at least occupational level 3, gained within the last 3 years, or significant experience in the field.
- Hold an Assessor qualification, such as CAVA (Certificate of Assessing Vocational Achievement) or A1.
