Bolton College is looking to appoint an ambitious, talented, and enthusiastic Lecturer B in English to join our flourishing team.
Ideally, you will have:
- Degree in a relevant subject.
- Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent).
- Level 2 Maths and English qualifications.
- Proven track record in the teaching of English GCSE to 16–18-year olds.
- Experience of implementing quality assurance systems for English in an FE setting.
- A detailed understanding of the GCSE/Functional Skills curriculum for English.
- Experience of successful course management.
- Experience of leading and motivating a small team of staff.
Day-to-day you will have responsibility:
- To support the Curriculum Leader by co-ordinating and supervising a small team in the delivery of high quality and inclusive provision within a curriculum area.
- To deliver high quality and inclusive teaching and learning on one or more courses.
- To support the curriculum management on curriculum and course development.
- To take part and comply with all quality assurance procedures and systems within the area of responsibility.
- Develop resources, support teaching programmes and deliver on a number of courses as required.
- To support the achievement of annual targets for learner numbers, income, expenditure and success rates.
