Your Key Responsibilities π
As an HR & Training & Development Manager, you will:
π Recruitment & Workforce Planning:
- Provide expert guidance on recruitment requirements and workforce planning.
- Work closely with the Security Management Team to identify staffing needs and implement effective hiring strategies.
- Oversee and support recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes to ensure a seamless candidate experience.
- Manage third-party recruitment suppliers, particularly Staffline, ensuring they align with our hiring goals.
π HR Policies & Compliance:
- Ensure HR practices comply with employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Provide reliable HR advice and support to senior managers and line management.
- Keep employees informed about their rights, entitlements, and policy updates.
- Support and contribute to business affairs, TUPE, and workforce mobilisations.
π Employee Relations & Engagement:
- Act as the primary contact for all people-related matters.
- Build and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.
- Provide guidance on workforce agreements and maintain a positive relationship with GMB Trade Unions and staff representatives.
- Supervise and coach the HR/ER team to meet business SLAs and implement improvement initiatives as needed.
π Training & Development:
- Lead and coordinate all training and development requirements for employees.
- Ensure training records and materials are updated and relevant.
- Oversee the contract Apprenticeship Programme, ensuring it aligns with company objectives.
- Plan and coordinate management development and talent progression activities.
- Champion personal development and coaching to foster a growth-oriented work environment.
π Data & Compliance Management:
- Gather and analyze workforce data, identifying trends and risks.
- Produce management reports to support business decisions.
- Lead on benefit-in-kind payments, compliance, and announcements.
What Weβre Looking For???

Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- CIPD Qualification (or equivalent HR certification)
- Strong workforce management experience
- Excellent IT proficiency (HR systems, Microsoft Office, etc.)
- High level of attention to detail
- Ability to simplify complex concepts into clear, persuasive communication

- Experience analyzing data and trends to drive HR decisions
- Passion for coaching, mentoring, and employee development
Location & Travel Requirements π
- This is a primarily home-based role with some national travel as required.
