Summary
The role holder will be responsible for the development and delivery of a portfolio of online courses within the Faculty of Business and Law. They will work with external partner organisations to develop and quality assure content and assessment activities, tutoring oversee teaching and learning and the student experience on the online courses, and will be responsible for enabling student success and fostering high quality student outcomes.
Job Details
St Mary’s is expanding its provision into fully online courses, and the role holder will be responsible for the development and delivery of online courses within the Faculty of Business and Law, in their capacity as Subject Lead of Business and Law Online. This will include working with partner organisations involved in the creation and delivery of the online portfolio, and recruiting and managing hourly paid/permanent staff required for the programme delivery and assessment. The role holder will oversee teaching and learning and the student experience on the online courses, and will be responsible for enabling student success and fostering high quality student outcomes.
The successful candidate will have experience in the design and delivery of online courses at HE/FE level, preferably in a business/law related discipline. A sound understanding of quality assurance and enhancement procedures in higher education, and the implications of these for the online portfolio is essential.
Subject Leads are appointed on a three-year rotational basis, and there will be an opportunity to extend at the end of the first three-year period.
